About Peter Frow


FAIRYLAND THE MUSICAL is Peter Frow’s first musical but prior to that he had been writing, designing, filmmaking and composing music for film and video. Peter’s first film OH ELEPHANT! in Kenya in 1990, co-directed and co-produced with Caroline Spooner, tells the story about four orphan elephants and is narrated by Virginia McKenna (Born Free). Cinema release, distributed by MSD Collins, video release by RCA/Columbia Pictures Video Ltd.

As a multi-instrumentalist Peter’s composed music for all his own film productions he’s directed including OH ELEPHANT!, ACCORDING TO COLIN, Funny, moving and a whole life discovered in fifteen minutes starring Robert Daws (Poldark, The Royal), AWAY WITH THE FAIRIES starring Virginia McKenna, Robert Daws, Amanda Waring (All Creatures Great and Small) and David Simeon (Doctor Who).

Peter’s feature script WINGS OF ANGELS optioned by Foothill Entertainment Inc. USA. Set in the long hot summer of 1933 it is about the unique friendship between two of the world’s most famous female aviators – the British born Amy Johnson and the American, Amelia Earhart.

Peter’s first feature length film which he wrote, produced, directed and shot THE INVENTURERS (PG) a quirky 92-minute film was written to inspire children to use their imaginations and experience life for themselves away from the easy reward of the video game, distributed by Jukebox the total catalogue for cinema content and now available on Prime Video.

Peter has recorded four film music CD’s: PETER FROW MUSIC REELS’s I & II, Reel III WILDSCORE and Reel IV ‘AWOL’ and a 24 track collection of Peter’s film music is available on Apple Music and Amazon entitled ‘Peter Frow FILMSCORE’. Having already written a feature film script for FAIRYLAND THE MUSICAL Peter then worked out that it could work on stage with a more compact version of the story. He wrote the book for the stage and with co-producer Carrie-Anne Lewis set about bringing Fairyland to life on stage and on film.
