In the great tradition of classic British fantasy-adventure comes an enchanting new musical. FAIRYLAND THE MUSICAL now available on Prime Video is a magical fusion of film & theatre for adults with magic in their hearts and children of all ages.
When Flyn follows his eccentric Grandmother Vicky into the fairy ring at the bottom of her garden, he finds himself chosen by the fairylanders to rid them of the evil fairy Scatterjack, a quest that ultimately leads him to his destiny, long hidden family secrets and of course, true love.
With music, lyrics, book, produced and directed by Peter Frow, co-produced by Carrie-Anne Lewis, exciting choreography by Jasmine Lomanto and a fairytastic cast FAIRYLAND THE MUSICAL has already proved to be a much sought-after ‘four quadrant’ project appealing to all ages and both sexes.
After an intensive rehearsal period and filming for the back projection taking place in England, Scotland, Isle of Skye and Wales it all came together to make an exciting, innovative, emotional, fun and heartwarming new musical! The original cast came from some of UK’s finest drama schools, Jamie Chidzey (Royal Academy of Music). Carrie-Anne Lewis, Suzanne Kendall, Warren Palmer, Andrew Armfield and Nathan Lister (The Bridge Theatre Training Co). Rowena Bentley, Esme Sears, Lara Falkner and Shannon Ogle (Drama Studio). Jack Silver (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland). Jessica Hern (GSA) and Kristina Garrow (International School of Screen Acting). Their professionalism, talent, passion and dedication for the project along with the band, Stuart Norman Lead Guitar, Windsor McGilvray Drums, Alex Frow Guitar/Bass was in evidence throughout rehearsals and ultimately their wonderful performances on stage and on film.
Fairyland The Musical was filmed by cinematographer Terry Barham who also filmed additional cinematography for The Inventurers.
